This year, Mario and his friends take their adventure into space in the new film Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which premiered in the U.S. on April 1st!
In Japan, the movie will be released nationwide on April 24th, so many fans are already wishing they could experience the Mario universe early like audiences in the U.S.
So this time, we’re introducing some of the Super Mario-related events and campaigns currently happening across Japan.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan is collaborating with the new animated film Super Mario Galaxy Movie, offering four limited-edition donuts inspired by the movie’s world from April 8th to May 26th!
There are three donut designs inspired by Mario, Yoshi, and Luma, plus one themed after the iconic “?” block.
In addition, a limited-edition bag featuring Super Mario Galaxy Movie designs is also available!
This bag is large enough to hold up to four half-boxes (6 donuts each), and will only be available while supplies last—so don’t miss out!
At the “Shibuya Cine Tower” location, you can even enjoy your donuts in a space that feels like you’ve stepped right into the movie.

JR Kyushu

JR Kyushu is currently running a full-scale Super Mario collaboration until June 30, 2026!
Photo spots where you can pop out of warp pipes and take pictures with Mario and friends are set up in stations.
These decorations can be found across 22 stations, including Hakata, Kumamoto, and Nagasaki.
There’s also a Super Mario Train!
Limited express trains and the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen “Kamome” feature Mario-themed designs. It’s a fun experience both to ride and to see—perfect for making unforgettable memories in Kyushu!

From April 1st to May 7th, a limited-edition ice cream flavor inspired by Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be available!
Inspired by the sparkling galaxy setting of the movie, the flavors include:

- Sky blue: salted lychee-flavored sorbet
- White: pear-flavored sorbet
